Other Latin Art O.L.A. is an artist-run initiative connecting Latin American and Hispanic artists across Australia, founded 2024 in Sydney.
We were built from within the community, by people who know what it feels like to create far from home, and who believe that distance doesn't diminish culture. It deepens it.
We create spaces for artists to show their work, tell their stories, reach new audiences and contribute to Australia's cultural conversation on their own terms.

Andrea Ar is a Colombian-born artist, designer and curator. Growing up in Colombia, she was surrounded by a richness of culture, colour and creativity that never left her.
After moving to Australia, she noticed the gap. Latin American and Hispanic artists were here, creating and contributing but the spaces to show that work and build real community were few and far between.
OLA started from that absence. Not as a complaint, but as an answer.
Through MUY Art Fair, Somos Expo and more, Andrea saw what happens when Latin American and Hispanic artists are given real room. Audiences connect. Stories land. Culture moves.
Today, OLA works alongside photographers, artists, designers, creatives and volunteers to open more doors for Latin American and Hispanic artists across Australia, one project at a time.

Other Latin Art acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters across Australia.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise the ongoing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country, culture, community and storytelling.
